Ceramic Platter
I grow prehistoric vegetation in my garden.  I wait every spring for the leaves to grow large enough to hand pick suitable leaves from my garden for me to use in my work.  This year we have been blessed with supreme weather for growing these giant leaves.  I carefully pick them and then gently press them into the clay.  I then manipulate the clay to make a  sculptured form.  After this process and when the clay has dried the sculptural forms are fired many times, each time refining and adjusting in different glazes to create a beautiful piece of studio pottery.   My ceramic platters are both functional and sculptural and an absolute creative gift for any home or garden.
