The Cranbrook Art Show The Cranbrook Art Show will return in November 2023. The dates this year are Thursday 9th to Saturday 11th November with a Private View evening on Wednesday 8th. Once again, the show will be held in the stunning Vestry Hall in Cranbrook. As a ceramic artist Jane produces a varied and creative collection of work, from wee robins on ribbon to frost resistant sculptural forms for the garden. She also hosts pottery classes at her beautifully converted Swinford Studios at Godinton House, where she runs a fun, friendly and informative class from her well equipped studio. She aims for you to develop confidence and skills in all techniques, whether throwing, sculpting or hand building, creating functional everyday wares or your own fine art masterpiece! A Handmade Mid Winter Market 2023 Friday 17th November 2023 (5 – 7.30pm) Saturday 18th & Sunday 19th November 2023 (10 -4pm) at the Tithe Barn in Lenham EXCITING NEWS – The Handmade Mid Winter Market is back to it’s original date in NOVEMBER! Let’s celebrate having these extremely talented local exhibitors in one place, support their businesses and buy gifts and treasures that can not be bought on the High Street. The Friday evening at the Tithe Barn is a relaxed time when you can stroll through the barns, soak up the atmosphere, purchasing whatever takes your fancy! maybe sipping a warming glass of mulled wine. Remember that there are two main barns – the Tithe Barn to the left and the adjoining Cobbled barn to the right. The Old Tractor Shed and the lawn area. Previous visitors to the markets will know that this is an amazing opportunity for independent artists and producers from across the region to sell their work directly to the public. In return the public are able to meet, chat to and support the local crafters, all in the stunning setting of the privately owned Tithe Barn – the largest of its kind in the country.
Jane's Pottery Classes NEW SIX-WEEK CLASSES STARTING September 2023 Enjoy warm, friendly classes in small groups at my studio in the beautiful ancient parkland at Godinton House & Gardens. In mixed ability classes, learn various skills and techniques with further inspiration from using a selection of clays and glazes. FRIDAYS 9.30am-12 noon or 1pm–3.30pm SATURDAYS 10am–12.30pm or 1pm -3.30pm
Taster Sessions (up to four people) or 1-2-1 tuition £30 for the first hour and £25 for the second hour. Groups of Friends and Family. Choose a bespoke group class – friends, colleagues, a hen/stag party or a family group. Minimum five people, maximum 15 people @ £40 each for 2.5 hours.

Take the next set of gates on right (they may appear locked but open and close behind you. If the gates are open, that’s great, then leave open. Proceed along the track to the second set of gates to arrive at Swinford Studios. Please call if you need further directions.
SCULPTURE IN THE GARDEN 22nd July 2023 – 13th August 2023, 13.00 – 18:00 Godinton’s annual exhibition of contemporary work. Local artists display their work within the 13 acres of beautiful gardens giving an additional dimension. Visitors can enjoy a stroll, enjoy the eclectic mix of sculptures from the traditional figurative art and abstracts in stone, through to bronze, glass, and steel.
